The Highland Jazz Organization has been presenting an on-going series of jazz concerts in Newton since 1983. We showcase mainstream and acoustic jazz which includes Dixieland, the Swing era, and BeBop. Highland Jazz seeks:
1. to enrich the cultural life of Newton and surrounding communities through jazz concerts
2. to maintain the highest standards of jazz music through quality programming
3. to offer Boston area and New England jazz musicians and singers a new forum for their music
4. to maintain a reasonable pricing policy so that jazz can be enjoyed by the largest audience
Our motto is "People are Music" which signifies the importance of music in our lives, and our belief that people and music together create a unique spirit and energy.
